Make Yourself at Home Next Door

Give your event a relaxed, easy feel in the former home of country music legend Roy Acuff. As the Opry’s public face and most passionate ambassador, Acuff was an essential member of the Opry family; when his wife Mildred passed away, the Opry’s parent company built this brick home for him next door to the Grand Ole Opry House, where he lived from 1983 until his death in 1992.

The “King of Country Music” made this house one of the most unique attractions on the Opryland complex, often standing on his front stoop to greet Grand Ole Opry and Opryland Theme park visitors. Today, this beautifully renovated home features a working fireplace, generous covered deck, full kitchen, and timeless decor.

This house is close to our hearts and our history; Roy would be happy to know that it serves as a comfortable, versatile place for our guests to gather.
